-
- With a proper ARexx Port applications can legally control certain
- workbench functions, and writing utilities/applets to 'enhance' workbench
- will be an awful lot easier.
-
- You could, for example, write a Directory Opus style file utility that
- opened and used standard workbench directory windows. Theres an awful lot
- of power in Workbench that isn't available for applications at the moment.
-
- I'd enhance other things in the OS while doing that, like extending the
- icons system to be available on any screen, not just workbench, ditto for
- AppWindows... Drag and drop is available to everyone then... (Just
- thought of that off the top of my head, I've not thought it through yet.
- Guess lots of you will now tell me why that can't be done).
